Swimmer's itch? REPORT CASES HERE
The CLWA has spent a busy summer trapping and relocating merganser broods! Sixteen broods (128 ducklings) were transported to new homes and Crystal Lake is now free of breeding mergansers. Your assistance by reporting sightings has been vital to this success! After two years of this CLWA program, occurrences of swimmer's itch have decreased this summer and the joy of the water has returned. However some individuals are still experiencing cases:TO REPORT CLICK HERE. For continued success, our efforts must be maintained -- CLWA is planning to continue its merganser relocation program in 2019. Please continue your support!
