CLWA begins treatment of invasive Eurasian Watermilfoil

The CLWA began its long-delayed treatment of EWM in Crystal Lake on June 29 under the terms of the authorization provided by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy in Aquatic Nuisance Control Permit No. ANC9805924. Despite unfavorable weather, almost all of the 7-plus acres of infestation were treated, including the most heavy growth on the east end of the lake. A second treatment where necessary is planned for July 27, weather permitting. If you have questions, see FAQs about Eurasian watermilfoil.
