CLWA presents its work to protect Crystal Lake

Over 100 CLWA members and friends met on Saturday, July 19, to hear updates on the organization’s current programs and projects to protect the water quality of Crystal Lake. Held at Mills Community House, the 2025 CLWA Annual Meeting included a presentation by Lake Biologist John Ransom who interpreted results of shoreline surveys and provided suggestions for lake-friendly practices. President Sue Brown presented a comprehensive review of CLWA activities and Treasurer Bruce Gerhart detailed the status of CLWA finances. Board member Coleman Schindler urged all to attend the upcoming “Keep Crystal Clear” event, to be held on August 8.

Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the meeting. They raised concerns about a variety of issues, including swimmer’s itch, zoning, and boats being launched at secondary sites without washing.

Election of new officers and board members had taken place online and by mail ballot. For the list of those elected, CLICK HERE.
