Nearly 100 CLWA members and friends met on Saturday, July 25, to hear updates on the organization’s current programs and projects to protect the water quality of Crystal Lake. Held at Mills Community House in Benzonia, the 2026 CLWA Annual Meeting included a presentation by Lake Biologist John Ransom who spoke about how riparian property owners can help protect their shorelines from the wide fluctuations in lake levels that Crystal Lake has been experiencing.
President Sue Brown presented a comprehensive review of CLWA activities and Treasurer Tim Davis detailed the status of CLWA finances. The CLWA’s legal team spoke about the outcomes achieved by settlement of the CLWA’s lawsuit. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions.
